PSVOA delegation led by Dr Ashok Sharma and Dr Navdeep Singh Khinda met Hon' MAH sahb and DAH

A PSVOA delegation led by Dr Ashok Sharma and Dr Navdeep Singh Khinda met Hon'ble MAH and DAH to represent the issues faced by veterinary officers. Delegation was apprised of the following improvements:

1. Three day grass root level camps will cease.

2. Ambulance/Mobile van will be utilised better in extension services and present system will be stopped.

3. Efforts are being made to stop evening shift duties at polyclinics so as to provide uninterrupted services at CVHs by the doctors.

4. Full pay to new VOs and to decrease their probation period from 3 to 2 years was demanded.

5. A committee with Dr Ashok Sharma as a member is formed to curb the nuisance of private semen and to make the rules under Bovine Breeding Act.

6. Funds will be released soon to make block level milking competitions more viable.

7. Corpus fund or insurance provisions (tenders already called) for the animals that participate in BLMC to cover any mishappening at the event.

8. To ensure quality feed for the animals so that their health is not compromised, Animal husbandry department will try to play an important role under Livestock Feed Act.
