  2. regarding leaves, what I know is : CASUAL LEAVE: for females 20 CL in 1 calender year for males 10 CL for 1st 10 years of service in one calender year, then 15 in 1 year and full 20 CL after 15-20 years of service. MEDICAL LEAVE: its 20 medical leaves on half pay. if one wishes to get full pay, 2 leaves r deducted from his account. Medical certificate is required only while availing half pay leave (or depending on the dealing clerk) EARNED LEAVE: it is calculated as 1/24th of the total days in service in one year. Don't exactly know how much it comes out to be but 10-12 is expected. WITHOUT PAY LEAVE: this is leave one can avail in cases of medical illness when his Med. Leaves r finished or any other case. Duration of leave can be quite long. Medical leaves and Earned leaves r carried forward to next year. Casual leaves and Earned leaves r calculated on calender year basis while Medical leaves r calculated at the end of 1 year of service PLEASE UPDATE. THANKS there r few more types of leaves like maternity leave, paternity leave, leave not due, extra-ordinary leave etc. but these r not generalised leaves and r availed only for specific purposes.
  3. "Shukrana Diwas" on 2nd Oct. 2011 by RVOs of Amritsar and Tarn Taran. Path Sri Sukhmani Sahib, Shabad Kirtan and Guru ka langar at Gurudwara Sahib, D- Block, Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.
  4. Salary of RVOs in Amritsar distt. released with full scale and allowances till August 2011. Congrats to all.
  5. Dont be disappointed Dr. Kamal. Nothing can stop u from getting ur salary as u r now regular employee and its very clear without any doubt. Regarding getting salary today or tomoro... its just impatience. For every employee first salary always take 2-4 months as the procedure normally takes this much time. We got regularised in Aug so its just one month.(Remember when u got ur first salary as contract employee)and by that means things r going very well atleast till now. Im following salary status in Amritsar and even went to Chd., its really time consuming procedure delayed further by holidays. And if software at Distt. Treasury office works properly, most probably we will also be getting our salary next week. So i think there is nothing like hurdle, its just the way clerical work is done here.
  6. Congrats and thanks for the information but CPF is deducted only as 10% of the basic + grade pay. DA is not included while deducting CPF.
  7. I agree with Dr. Gill regarding boycotting of AI Purchee Fee. Its quite understood that boycotting attracts some or may be many problems, but this is what agitation means. There are some questions... first, is there exist any agitation against govt. without any difficulty. Second, if authorities have given some tough looks, it means that its effective may be less. Third and most important for me, are the problems faced by some RVOs bigger than our future which is at stake now. Denying of straws, issuing of letters etc. are sure-shot reactions of authorities and RVOs should stand tough against such reactions. Answers to these problems could be either to withdraw the boycott or to stop whole AI services. My personal choice is to stop AI but Union decided to withdraw which is very right on their part as they represent masses not individual. They have performed their duties well but are we doing right? We should not create panic as our leaders then have to be defensive, as they can't impose anything on us. They are just the voice of all RVOs. This is fight for our secure and respectful future and every RVO should take it as his personal fight and should bring that killer instinct in himself which is required for every success. If RVOs are strong only then union is strong and capable of taking hard decisions. Finally, i think we should not leave any stone unturned irrespective of its yielding something or not. Steps should be taken to strengthen each and every RVO and maintaining unity. We must remember, no agitation is free from difficulties but mostly, esp. in punjab's scenario, facing difficulties during agitation guarantees safe and secure future, for which we are fighting for.
  8. A MEMORANDUM REGARDING OUR REGULARIZATION WAS GIVEN TO A.H. MINISTER G.S. RANIKE ON THE CLOSING DAY OF DISTT PASHU MELA AT AMRITSAR. HE ASSURED TO CONVEY OUR DEMAND TO THE CM OR DY CM. A DAY BEFORE, MEMORANDUM WAS GIVEN TO S. VEER SINGH LOPOKE ON INAUGURATION OF THE MELA. HE RESPONDED POSITIVELY AND ASKED US TO MEET HIM AT CHANDIGARH.
  9. Now, contractual vets join the protest chorus Tribune News Service Amritsar, September 18 After pharmacists and ETT teachers working under zila parishad, the rural veterinary doctors, who were appointed on a contract basis, today decided to choose the agitation path if their demands for the regularisation of their jobs are not met. Disgruntled over the apathetic attitude of the state government, the Punjab State Veterinary Doctors Association (PSVDA), headed by Dr Navdeep Singh Khinda, president of the association, said “It’s been over three years that the SAD has come to power, yet, it has failed to fulfill its promise to regularise them.” “During the Congress regime, when we were on a fast unto death agitation, senior Akali leaders, including the Badal family had visited the site and promised to regularise our jobs as soon as they came to power. But even after three years of the SAD-BJP combine in power, they (Akali leaders) have turned a blind eye towards our genuine demands. Instead, they are busy publishing false statements in the media that veterinary doctors are satisfied with their jobs,” said Dr Khinda. At present, there are as many as 682 veterinary hospitals under the panchayat raj department, while there are only 425 rural veterinary officers working on a contract basis in these hospitals. Dr Gagandeep Singh Dhillon, press secretary of the association, pointed out that the state government appointed approximately 300 doctors about four years ago and the number reached to 425 in the following years. According to a survey conducted by the department in 2009, the number of milch animals is decreasing by 10 percent every year, which is likely to have an adverse impact on milk production in the coming years, said Dr Dhillon. The association president, while detailing, said overall, RVOs were paid Rs 26,000 as salary out of which Rs 5,000 is given to the pharmacist and Rs 2,500 to class four employees as salary. Thus, the doctor receives only have Rs 16,000 to Rs 17,000 as salary per month. “What is more disappointing is that we are not entitled to any increment, CPF, TA/DA or promotions during our service,” said Dr Khinda. The association threatened to gherao the Chief Mininster, Deputy Chief Minister and other ministers of the state cabinet in Chandigarh, if the government fails to call them for talks on the issue within a week.
  10. Today a press conference was held at amritsar headed by Dr. N.S.Khinda. Strong denial was conveyed through all the media persons present regarding advt. given by govt which stated RVOs are working without any grouse under zila parishads. Demand of regularization of all the RVOs was strongly put forward stating all facts and figures. Lets see about the coverage tomorrow.
