    AI fees revised by Govt, Artificial Insemination now at very low cost to farmers

    With untiring efforts and great determination of Dr Sarabjit Randhawa and support of our hon' Minister sahb, PSVOA has been successful in revision of AI fees. We congratulate whole vet fraternity and thank Dr Randhawa for his selfless efforts that made this possible. This move by Govt. will reduce financial burden of dairy on farmers.

    Unauthorised, illegal semen straws seized in a raid conducted by Animal Husbandry Dept. under Bovine Breeding Act.   ਪਸ਼ੂ ਪਾਲਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਕਲੀ ਸਟਰਾਅ/ਟੀਕੇ ਫੜੇ ਗਏ। Bovine Breeding Act ਅਧੀਨ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ।    

    National Livestock Championship postponed due to suspected cases of FMD

    The 11th National Livestock Championship, 2019 has been postponed due to suspected cases of FMD in northern states. There have been sporadic cases of suspected FMD like disease in animals, though there hasn't been any outbreak so far and the dept. have contained the spread the disease. The samples has been sent to ICFMD (International Centre for Foot and Mouth Disease), Bhubaneshwar for confirmation on the same. - Hon' Dir. A.H., Dr. Inderjeet Singh   Attached : Newspaper Copy.

    Hon' Cabinet minister S. Balbir Singh Sidhu ji in a special camp at Veterinary Polyclinic  announced recruitment of about 140 Doctors and 104 VIs to compensate the shortage of staff in the Animal Husbandry Dept. Hon' minister sahb also  announced 'Mobile Vety. clinics' for each cluster of  6-8 villages to provide better animal health care to farmers.     Hon' Cabinet minister S. Balbir Singh Sidhu ji in a special camp at Veterinary Polyclinic said that the bill has been passed in assembly to strictly curb the adulteration in feed and mineral mixture and soon there'll be Act to curb the same.
