    Distt Faridkot and Sri Muktsar Sahib has initiated Boycott against all extra dept. duties (in accordance with PSVOA) like cheque  distribution, etc. by SDM/DCs. This was long overdue step and has been rightly taken. This is to inform and invite all other distts to join -in whenever necessary.   Attached : Memo by distt Faridkot to DC Faridkot

    PSVOA to celebrate WVD by running Public Awareness Campaign this Year among schools/colleges

    PSVOA has decided to celebrate World Veterinary Day (WVD) in form of Public Awareness Campaign this Year, in which VOs will give presentations/lectures in schools and colleges on Public Health and Zoonosis (diseases transmitted from animals to humans), and educate/ clear doubts on Rabies, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, TB etc. Admin Note : We welcome and salute the noble thinking of PSVOA leadership.

    Appointment procedure starts for newly appointed Vets, Called at Dir Ah's office on 9th

    AH has posted letters to all selected candidates and will reach them by Monday (or so) for verification of original documents of all "to be" appointed doctors. They must reach Dir AH office on 9th by 9am. Rest of procedure will follow thereafter. We hereby congratulate the newly selected Vets once again, Hope to see you among us soon.

    KATHUA, MARCH 30- Deputy Commissioner Kathua,Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, taking a serious note of non-compliance of public health standards by animal products' outlets has directed the expert veterinary doctors to carry out extensive market inspections and check the standard of hygiene and public health observed. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer and District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Kathua, have been asked to provide the services of expert veterinary professionals and Veterinary Assistant Surgeons
