  1. Now is the time to show honesty towards our mother Profession.... We , along with our families have been enjoying a comfortable life just because of this , but need of hour is to re-pay .... Now profession is in danger , going in the hands of non-professionals, and the reason is unconcerned administration... Let's join our hands to curb such anti-professional activities, whosoever is involved would not be spared .... Participate wholeheartedly with maximum strength in dharna on 18/9/16, Sunday at Jalandhar... Our United agitation will not stop until demands of VO cadre are fulfilled....Vets unity zindabad ... Dr NS Khinda
  2. In state body meeting of PSVOA, it was discussed that diesel expenditure of ambulances working in districts , would not be paid by VO on duty. It is the duty of department and not of VO going with it. It has been come into notice that in many districts, VOs are pressurised to pay such expenses from their own pocket and many times, while claiming from DDAH office, these bills are not cleared in time or at all. Keeping this matter in consideration , it was decided that no VO in any district would pay diesel expenses from his/her pocket. VO will go with ambulance only if the department takes the responsibility to pay for or fill diesel in advance. Make your DDAH office aware about this decision and if they pressurise then report to your district president and association will look after the matter. Association would also demand new posts of VO and staff for ambulance services. Dr Ashok Sharma President PSVOA

  5. As we know that recently one of our lady vet was harassed and mentally tortured by a vi, the live video of which is now viral on whatsapp and hon' dir sahb also took immediate action, but what forced me to write this post is their (VIs) strength and unity. I'm astonished by the fact how they stood by their own irrespective of fact if he's at fault or not. They didn't judge him themselves and inturn are demanding to remove hon' dir sahb itself. This actually is a good n strong example of unity in its true meaning. They stand by each other irrespective of facts, fault etc. I salute their strength but at same time, lets show ours. Its time we should think of cadre n leave behind all differences which although association already announced recently that we're united on matters concerning cadre. We (all vets) welcome this move and lets show our strength n unity coz at the end of the days,, its all that matters. Knowing the fact that whole punjab will have ur back n stand by you is the biggest strength that an individual needs while taking administrative decisions. Click below to see attachments :

  7. Taking serious note of violations of IVC Act, PSVOA gave ultimatum to Govt and announced agitation. Citing the incidence of Govt's considering the visiting fee to Veterinary Inspectors (previously Veterinary Pharmacists), and the title Veterinary Inspector and the grant of minor veterinary services to Veterinary Pharmacists (now Veterinary Inspectors) are serious violations of IVC Act. Myself on behalf of PSVOA want to clarify that no one is asking for any bribe rather in last meeting on 26.7.16 MAH assured us the faster disbursement of probation cases. 14. As you know a meeting was called by Hon'ble Addl. Chief Secy. PB (FCAH) on 13.6.16 in response to state level dharma call by PSVOA although some demands were assured for implimentation but no satisfactory solution for was made on the issue of notification regarding minor vrty services and prevailing in subordination in the field at VI level. Keeping in view the assurance given and hoping to get pending issue solved in next 10 days. It was decided to postpone dharma till 24th June 16. It is my humble appeal to all District presidents and team members to motivate the cadre for the full participation in dharma that would be staged on 24 th June 16 at directorate as decided after meeting by hon'ble members present in the meeting. - Dr Ashok Kumar, President PSVOA Click below for newspaper cutting :

  17. PROCEEDINGS A state body meeting of PSVOA was held on 29-05-2016 at Ludhiana. Dr. Ashok Sharma, President of the association chaired the meeting along with Dr. Santokh Singh, Sr. Vice President, Dr. Navdeep Singh Khinda, Sr. Vice President. Our respected Dr Rajinder Singh, Ex-president PSVOA also graced the occasion by his kind presence. Following were the mainly discussed and decided points:  To strengthen the organizational structure of the association and to make sure that the state body's decisions are executed at the district level, it was unanimously decided to freshly elect PSVOA bodies. The election of district units will be supervised by state executive committee and all measures to conduct fair and peaceful elections will be taken. The code for electing district bodies along with complete set of instructions regarding candidates, voters and election observers etc will be conveyed in next few days. Tentative time frame for electing district bodies is till 15th July. After that state body will be re-elected.  Current issues concerning VOs along with long pending demands like high and irrational AI targets, pending cases of probation clearance of merged VOs, PG increments to PG VOs, problems faced by lady VOs in getting child care leaves, new departmental rules etc were discussed. Dr Ashok Sharma apprised the house that a 1- month notice was given to the Govt. to fulfill these demands but the Govt has turned a deaf ear. He further informed the house that the department is planning to issue chargesheet to all those VOs who had deposited money for the broken/plug out straws. So the need to do strong agitation was felt and it was unanimously decided that A State Level Dharna will be staged on June 15, 2016 at Director AH office, Chandigarh to press govt to fulfill these demands.
