Kindly circulate... Dear doctors, Here's the latest update on our pending demands. 1. After long & strenuous efforts and numerous meetings, finally 5 sample cases have reached Hon'ble Minister's office for his final approval after being cleared from FC(AH) office . Hope that will be cleared till next week. After that issuing of letters for probation clearance will start. 2. Happy news for newly joined VOs. Letter for their full pay along with all allowances has been dispatched from FC(AH) office. It ll be circulated by director office possibly from next working day. Today a PSVOA delegation attended a high power meeting headed by Chief Secretary, Pb at Punjab Bhavan Chd. All demands of VO cadre like probation, 4 yr DACP, service rule amendments, PG allowance, non payment of salaries to new VOs along with other financial & administrative demands were put forward. Clarification regarding CPF and 80C CPF comprises 2 parts: a. your contribution - under 80CCD (1) b. equal contribution by Govt. - Under 80CCD (1B) And as far as 80C is concerned, you can save maximum of 1,50,000 but the Govt.'s contribution in CPF thats under 80CCD (1B), DOESN'T come under this and gives you no rebate in 80C /1,50,000 But instead gives you rebate under 80CCD (1B) which is separate from 80C's 1,50,000 and is maximum of 50,000 other and above 80C. So you can have a total saving of 2,00,000. In short, the part of salary deducted for CPF comes under 80C and is part of 1,50,000 deduction,, BUT the part contributed by Govt. comes under 80CCD (1B) and is part of additional 50,000 above the regular rebate of 1,50,000 Hope this clears all doubts and you can plan your savings accordingly.

All VOs recruited after 2004 can avail additional 50,000 over the normal deduction of 1,50,000. This is to inform all in time as you all soon be filing your savings/tax statements soon. This additional deduction of 50,000 comes under section 80CCD (1B) Click below to see

Dr Ashok Sharma on the behalf of PSVOA filed a complaint against flourishing quackery and violation of IVC Act 1984 in Punjab. In response to that AH Department has marked an inquiry. First hearing of inquiry was on 14.1.2016 in which PSVOA has given documentary proof of many quacks (various visiting cards and complaints as evidence).It's been long time since we all have raised our voice against quacks and those misusing the word 'Dr.' On what's app etc. Now it's time. Come up with documentary proofs or any other evidences against such practices. Association has started the fight... Let's contribute to it to end the menace of such misdeeds. Hon' Dir Ah gave clarification regarding letter previously issued. Dir Sahb made clear that according to IVC act 1984, sec 30B VIs can neither prescribe nor treat without supervision of VO and also CAN NOT use title "Dr". Click Below to see copy of letter.

PSVOA LDH has decided to bycott the ambulatory duties from today itself due to non availability of funds for necessary fuel. So kindly stick to the call. We will be present at Polyclinics for this duty on respective day , but NO NEED to pay for fuel. Vets Unity Zidabaad

It has come to the notice of Punjab State Veterinary Council that many unauthorized person are using ''Dr." as prefix to their names. Council is taking a serious note of this and will take necessary action against such quacks. So you are requested to send any proof showing use of prefix "Dr" before their names by such persons to Punjab State Veterinary Council as proofs so that required action may be taken.
