  3. With ZP hospitals administration given back to Animal Husbandry,, the VIs (AH), have started demanding recruitment in 582 ZP hospitals with candidates having valid diploma. This demand of VIs is against the demand of VPs that seek merger along with RVOs into AHD. Attached Newspaper Cuttings :

  5. Cabinet Approved merger of RVO cadre into VO cadre alongwith transfer of 582 CVH to Animal Husbandry department. "With God's grace today cabinet has approved merger of RVOs cadre into VOs cadre and transfer of 582 CVH to Animal Husbandry department." - Dr NS Khinda Attached : Newspaper Cuttings :
  6. It is to inform you all that in tomorrow's cabinet meeting govt is going to declare the merger of RVOs into VOs cadre and transfer 582 CVH to Animal Husbandry department. Its all because of your consistant support with full strength to association's decisions esp boycott which paralysed all state and centrally sponsored schemes. We as association always tried to give best to safeguard the interests of our cadre so don't give ears to rumors and negative imaginations. By God's grace we will be full fledged VO after notification with pay protection and all other service benefits except seniority. We will move to court for our seniority right. Be motivated and pray to God that everything goes according to our predictions. Dr NS Khinda President RVOA
  7. With special thanks to RVOA and especially dr gautam and dr punit we've successfully modified 2 lines in draft thats in making. 1. "No seniority" to "Seniority according to rules " 2. Added line that after merger the cadre will be PAHS. So far with what's in draft (though still in making), we'll b full fledged VO with what all PAHS get. Hospitals will remain with PR/ZP which doesn't matter at all. (Though its my duty to inform all). I guess this clears most queries. - Dr Vipin Brar Electronic Media secy, RVOA. --------------------- Previously So Far Here's whats going on in reality. 1. Once merged we'll no longer be distt cadre and be VO and state cadre,, so there will b transfers across punjab. 2. There'll b seniority loss. It was made very clear in yesterday's meeting by govt committee. Court is the only way. 3. Salary heads will b same as existing VO (subject to change snd have to wait for draft) 4. The CVHs still might remain with zp as there r few already under zp but under control and administration of ah and VO/SVO sits there. 5. We will get PAHS and be no longer PPRRVS, only administrating body will b ah, no interference of zp beyond that. Our PRVOAs reaction : 1. We welcome the merger with all said conditions except seniority that we otherwise have no option but to accept it as such because we can't negotiate on this as made crystal clear by govt committee as its as per PCS Rules (CSR punjab). 2. We'll after merger goto court to get seniority from date of joining in regular services as done in haryana. 3. And if there's anything else that comes as bouncer, we'll deal it together as a strong team that we've always been

  12. Due to untiring efforts by RVOA, Rural Development and Panchayat now knows that Vaccination is done under supervision and directions of RVO but is actually done by VPs and currently the delay is due to VP's strike and not due to negligence by RVOs. Dept. of Rural Development and Panchayat therefore ordered ZPs to take strict action against VPs not performing their duty.

  19. Checking quality of milk, meat products our domain: GADVASU - HT News Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) have asked the state government to give the powers of checking the quality of milk and meat products to veterinary officials. Currently, these powers rest with the doctors, with the district health officer as head of the quality check staff for all food items. Vice-chancellor Dr VK Taneja said, "India is the only country where these powers rest with the officials of the health department. It's wrong as the expertise over these products lies with veterinary doctors." The university has written to the state government last month. On Monday, Dr Taneja give a presentation to animal husbandry minister Gulzar Singh Ranike who was at the university campus to preside over a workshop. Punjab is one of the leading producers of milk, meat, eggs and other livestock products and there have been studies that if more thrust is given on the quality of these products, the consumption and productivity can be increased. The V-C, in the letter to the government, said, "The National Survey on Milk Adulteration-2011 conducted by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India suggests the doubtful quality of milk as a major constraint behind booming of this industry. The poor quality check has increased people's worries and they have started avoiding consumption of milk products, especially sweets. One can see the trend during festivals." The letter said, "Doctors can check only synthetic adulteration and the poor quality; they cannot go in depth of other ailments and viruses." Animal husbandry director Dr HS Sandha said, "Since vets know the chemistry and metabolism of animals better than that of doctors, we can better check the quality of their products and study doubts." Experts said processing, value addition and quality control of milk and meat needed special focus because of perishable nature of the produce, especially keeping in view the increased demand for protein across India. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, the average animal protein intake through milk, egg and meat in India is 10.8 g as compared to 57.2 g in developed countries. In the past few years, the demand to get more protein has increased.Ranike said he would take up the matter with the chief minister.

  23. RVOAs reply to checking + BDPOs reply against RVOAs plea. Its worth mentioning that Govt has abolished class 1,2,4 system and now there's Class A,B,C system and the class is directly determined by pay scale on contrast to previous grading system.
