New Refrigerators, coolers, computers and Revolving chairs for hospitals A.H. Dept. recently distributed new refrigerators, computers, revolving chairs and coolers to its hospitals. So a genuine question : Where do we stand ?? Our goal is not just salary but everything we deserve. Its a long long fight and giving up is & will never be the option. So keep fighting to everything thats obvious at present day & many to come. The day we quit fighting will be the last day we get anything. Apart from this, CM approved promotion channel of V.I.s, department is preparing the seniority lists and 50 % of total will be promoted in first stretch, the process has already started. New posts at Distt. and block level called "Vety. Extension Officer" are also expected to be created for them. And surprisingly, no Cabinet Meeting was ever required for this. and on other hand, a simple act rectification in our case is being pulled in Cabinet meeting by Hon' RD Minister and delayed.

Doctors to go on Hunger Strike / Fast unto death Doctors have decided to go on Hunger Strike if Govt. doesn't comply with their genuine and deserving demands by 25/05/2011. As per scheduled cabinet meeting on 25/05/2011, the minister had promised us of clearing the file. (Although it didn't needed cabinet meeting for this and there was no agenda in meeting regarding the same in previous meeting that was postponed. And also this isn't listed in the current cabinet meeting agenda till now. SO if there's any delay by the Govt., the doctors will lock their hospitals and will go on Hunger strike and the same has been notified to minister RD already.

As soon as we're exempted from PCS act this'll also soon apply to us. As after exemption from PCS act we'll be receiving all sorts of allowances. So congrats once again. Moreover its from 1st july and we'll be beneficiary by then. Although it'll take about 15-20 days over 1st july but we'll have it.

Amendment in PCS act will not be done in Cabinet Meeting The letter for rectification of PCS act has reached the RD today. (special thanks to Dr. Jiwan Gupta for thorough follow up) The Act for amendment needs only formal approval from Minister and CM, and there's no need for Cabinet approval (as advocated by minister) If there are any delays or so in the process, we request all the doctors to be ready for agitation.

25/05/2011 but the amendment will now not be done in cabinet meeting. It'll be a departmental procedure.

Today RVO Association Punjab met Minister R.D. and he assured the matter to be resolved in coming Cabinet Meeting. And with regard to this the Protests/dharna of 19/05/2011 has been postponed until next notice.

Cabinet Meeting Postponed The cabinet meeting that was supposed to take place today and decide our future has been postponed due to some official reasons. The new date had not yet been decided but hopefully it'll be within the week.

CM assures that doctors are exempted from PCS act (amended) Today RVO delegation led by Dr. Jiwan Gupta, Dr. Sukhwinder, Dr. Rocky, Dr. Dhanjal, Dr. rohtash held a closed door meeting with CM at PBI University Patiala at 2pm. CM assured us in firm words that PCS Act (Amended) will not be implemented on Doctors. Arbitrary congrats to all doctors.

Exemption from PCS act to be decided in 13-may Cabinet meeting The CM Punjab, S. Parkash Singh Badal, RD Minister S. Brahmpura and chief secy. S.C. Aggarwal all are in favor of exempting doctors from PCS act and for this, required amendments will be made in act on 13th-may cabinet meet. Parallely, the file with full pay structure of doctors and also our staff (included this time) is almost finalized in RD. yes ofcourse, if any distt. delays then its ZPs fault and joining will still be from 1st-may as per letter no :2/2011/E.T.T.-4/9095-9114 dated 25/4/11 vikas bhavan, Chd. And your joining report will still be given from date 1/05/2011. If anyone's having hard time with Zila Parishad or if there's any other difficulty, you're most welcomed to contact the President.

Hello, I respect n welcome your suggestion but the letter clearly mentions that we'll not be getting any kind of benefit of our previous job. So it'll be of no good use to even write that.

I totally agree with you Dr., if we won't pressurize the Govt., the process may be delayed.
