All doctors to join on 2nd May As per directions from the association, all doctors(RVOs) to join the new jobs on 2nd May. The process will take 10-15 days and we're almost sure that it'll be done as heard from some reliable sources.

RD admits mistake, amendment soon We'd like to happily announce that today RD admits its mistake and announces required amendment soon. We'll now be accepting job letters and amendments will be made in a week. We'll keep you posted at regular intervals on the status of the same. Congrats everybody and special thanks to all that gathered today at Chandigarh and its only because of this that we're getting it done. Required pressure buildup on Dept. is necessary to make sure this is done at the earliest and the way we want.

As mentioned above, Doctors refused to accept new jobs unless PCS act is removed from "Terms & Conditions"

Today RVO - RMO delegation lead by Dr. Jiwan Gupta and Dr. Aslam Parvej held a meeting with Minister Brahmpura sahib. He called a meeting of all concerned officers of RD tomorrow. Lets gather at Chd. tomorrow at 9am at matka chowk/rose garden to build up required pressure. Its now or never and we assume we don't even need to mention it.

According to notification letter, previous experience has no benefits, only basic pay (15600) for 3 years and it can be extended upto 5 years and after that there's no guarantee of regularization and is subject to Current Govt's discretion, even after 5 years our services may be terminated at any time without any prior notice or so. - This is clearly mentioned in Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Act (amended) which you can see in Attachments below that its being imposed on us. So in simple words, our salary now will be 15600 from 27400/22600 approx. (RMO/RVO) Chief Secretory today told our Hon' President that the news in newspapers a few days back was merely a statement and not the actual Notification. FC after notification went to CL for 5 days. so clearly he doesn't want to be reached officially till the notification is in effect. All Associations (RVO & RMO) have decided not to accept the new jobs until its free from PCS act. And for that we have to stand up again against it and oppose it with what all we have. Regularization Notified. Congrats everybody The letter of regularization have reached to respective ZPs stating that our services will be regularized w.e.f 1-may-2011 We hereby congrat every vet and thank each & every vet for their valuable contribution towards our goal. Cheers everybody and let the party begin....... Note: the Notification also states that Punjab Civil Services Act (amended) will apply to our job and we'll be getting only basic pay for 3 yrs. And our previous job experience will not be counted in these 3 years. Our Association is working hard against this. Lets hope for the best.

Many of the doctors may have received the messages yesterday that some doctors met CM at Chd but defying rumors, CM yesterday was at his residence Badal and day before yesterday at his farm at Balasar so its impossible for anybody to meet him at Chd. yesterday or day before yesterday. RVOs/RMOs will get full salary RVOs,RMOs and teachers working in ZPs will be considered regularized before April 5 as the decision of regularization was taken earlier than that and therefore are not included in Punjab civil services (amended) act. and are entitled to full salary as clarified by Chief Secy S.C. Aggarwal. Although there was no confusion regarding the same but there were some rumors spread among some doctors. Also the Punjab Rural Vety. i respect the President's/Association decision of boycott withdrawal as it was leading to obvious problems for many of us but it should atleast have extended to 1 more month - January. Coz we all knew already that Muktsar Mela - Final and Biggest, is in January and we obviously be protesting in it. Withdrawal before this point just lost us half the battle we've been fighting so far. Authorities already declared us weak and effects were clearly seen at Muktsar. But this is not the time to think what should've been and what happened, its time to plan WHATS NEXT.
